THE THANK YOU LETTER One of the most important letters you’ll write is the “Thank You” letter. After you interview with a company you will want to send them a thank you letter as soon as you can get one out. We have gotten people hired just because they sent a thank you letter. The “Thank You” letter also allows you to cover any area of the interview that you feel you may have not gotten your point across as well as you would have liked at the time of the interview. It also allows you to cover and explain any weaknesses that you feel may have been uncovered about you or your background during the interview. An example may be that you didn’t have the exact experience in a given area but with your letter you can high light other experiences that parallel what the company is looking for. If it was brought up during the interview that you had a lot of job changes and you don’t feel you were able to explain them well enough during the interview you can go into detail with your letter to better explain what happened. The “Thank You” shows that you are interested in the job, it shows that you are professional and it can possibly get you hired.
